Ubiquitous computing environments are characterized by the diversity of devices through which the mobile users can accede to information and services. SALSA middleware facilitates the development of ubicomp systems, for PDAs and Smart phones the SALSA functionality was extended implementing a sub set of classes developed in C#, this version was denominated microSALSA (mSalsa).
In order to facilitate the implementation of ubiquitous computing systems, we decided to create the mSALSA framework, which allows to create ubiquitous computing systems using autonomous agents.

The complete source code is available through the SVN.
For developers who are helping to develop mSalsa, or who just want "the latest bits", the latest development version is made available through the SVN. Use at your own risk!
Access to the SVN source repository for mSalsa is available through both web browser and SVN client interfaces.
mSalsa uses the eXtensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP) as communication platform between agents, we developed mSalsa using the agsXMPP library written in C#. The library is released as open source under the "AG-Software shared source licence".
As we said, mSalsa uses XMPP as communication platform, so you will need a Jabber server on your system in order to create and register the agents.
